Besides the photoinitiators which use UV light productively, we make whitening agents which also use UV radiation in a novel way. These additives absorb incipient, invisible UV light and convert it into visible blue light.

This way, a coating containing Ciba® TINOPAL® or UVITEX® whitening agents will actually appear brighter than the light which strikes it!
