EFKA Additives, a leading producer of products for the coatings, graphic arts, and plastics industries was acquired by Ciba Specialty Chemicals in 2001.
February 2006 marked the full integration of EFKA Additives into Ciba, with the R&D and production site in Heerenveen, Netherlands, officially becoming the Formulation Technology Center (FTC) for Coating Effects.
