- Ciba is committed to safeguarding the health of employees. To determine the health risks associated with each chemical, a data base containing all occupational health data is maintained and made available to all employees, worldwide.
- Internal exposure limits or occupational hygiene categories are established for those substances that have no official exposure limit.
- Tools have been developed to carry out work place assessments with respect to exposure of our employees to chemicals. Group EHS supports the sites in carrying out such assessments.
- Support and encouragement is given to local medical staff to carry out routine health surveillance programmes, in order to detect adverse health effects or diseases and to improve employee health.
