- Ciba is committed to the safe operation of all its processes and plants. It is committed to understand and minimise the risks related to the properties of its raw materials, intermediates and final products and those risks that arise from the interaction between man, machine and chemicals.
- Group EHS has developed internal safety standards and provides support to the segments, regions and sites in the implementation of these standards.
- Methodology to systematically find potential hazards and evaluate and reduce the risks of all aspects of Ciba's operations have been developed and implemented (Risk Analysis Methodology).
- Accidents and incidents that have occurred in Ciba and other companies are analysed and the lessons to be learned from them and measures to be prevent a recurrence are promulgated through the organisation.
