Diamond Dye-Chem Ltd (DDL) is a 100% subsidiary of Ciba Specialty Chemicals Group.  It started as a joint venture in 2000 and three years later, it became wholly owned by Ciba. Spread across an area of 100,000 sq meters, DDL has established itself as a world-class manufacturing facility with first-class environmental standards.

It is Asia's largest producer of optical whiteners, which are catered to the paper and detergent industries in the growing markets of India and the Asian Pacific rim countries. With a newly built manufacturing facility, Diamond Dye-Chem Ltd has become a global supply point for Ciba Specialty Chemicals' paper customers worldwide.

As a good corporate citizen, it sponsored the construction of a theater for performing arts for school children in Ankleshwar. The theater, known as 'Diamond Children's Theater' is fully functional today.
