Ciba Japan was started with two head offices, Tokyo and Takarazuka in November 1996, following the spin-off from Ciba-Geigy (Japan) Limited. The office location in Tokyo has not been changed for more than 35 years, including the time of Ciba-Geigy.

In September 2007, the corporate service functions were integrated into Tokyo and combined with the Marketing & Sales force of the segments. Currently, there are more than 70 employees working at the Tokyo facility.

In August 2009, Tokyo Office relocated to Roppongi where BASF Japan also moved their office in order to consolidate their all group companies in Japan.
