The Plastic Additives production plant Kaisten is situated near the river Rhine in canton Aargau, about 40 kilometers east of Basel. With railway connection, tank farm, warehouses and a wastewater treatment on site, Kaisten has a very good infrastructure. The plant focuses on the bulk production of antioxidants and their distribution to customers in Europe. Moreover, the plant has been producing customer-specific mixtures for some years.

The best known products from Kaisten are Ciba^® IRGANOX^® 1010 and Ciba^® IRGANOX^® 1076. In most cases, distribution is directly supplied from the Kaisten warehouses.

In the Aargau area, the plant in Kaisten is an important employer and a renowned place for apprentice training. Based on mutual trust, there is good relationship with the plant neighbours, the local communities and the cantonal authorities - Ciba is aware of its social responsibility. 300 employees work in our Kaisten plant.
