Masterbatch Producer

A powder mixture of carrier + additive (AO, anti-block...) combined with a flame retardant (based on Antimony Oxide) produced an explosion while runing through the extruder at a German masterbatch producer.

Expert Service was asked to find the reasons for this accident. A important exothermic signal was measured with the mixture at high temperature and high pressure.

Pigment fire

A client had suffered a series of fires during storage of pigment in fiberboard drums shortly after oven drying at elevated temperatures. Expert Services highlighted that the current storage containers posed a potential risk. The suggested arrangements of volume versus drying temperature were implemented thereby bringing the client productivity improvement and reduction in costs.

Pharmaceutical company
