August 2005 | New Swiss chemical legislation introduced effective 1 August 2005
Effective 1 August 2005, a completely revised chemical control legislation has been introduced in Switzerland. A pre-marketing notification scheme and product register requirements apply in Switzerland with specific transitional provisions for products already on the market. The Swiss chemical control legislation is self-controlled and there is no mutual recognition between the EU and Switzerland.
