A Performance of LDPE blown films (200 mm) - The results of a greenhouse exposure trial carried out in Almeria, Spain, using LDPE films with TINUVIN 494 AR fully support the excellent performance claims compared with other traditional light stabilizers used in the area. The results are especially important in view of the very critical climatic conditions (high irradiation, high temperature, strong wind) and the extensive use of agrochemicals. In addition, in contrast to other, films stabilized with TINUVIN 494 AR show good long-term retention of mechanical properties on the full film as well as in contact with the iron wire supports.

Films containing TINUVIN 494 AR are slightly translucent due to the increased diffusion of light passing throught the film. This effect has proven positive for the cultivation of some horticultural products, such as salad, tomatoes, cucumbers.
