Controlled degradation of agricultural plastics

As an alternative to the recuperation, recycling and incineration of agricultural plastics, Ciba Specialty Chemicals has developed Ciba® ENVIROCARE® additives, which allow for controlled lifetimes of agricultural plastics and, thanks to a mechanism triggered by thermal and/or photo oxidation, start their degradation once usage is no longer required.
