 | Efficacy assessment of iron chelates (EDDHAs)
The independent trial in Spain to assess the efficacy of our iron EDDHAs has been running since early 2005. The trial is being performed on peach trees, the most common crop in the area.
Results show that both Ciba® LibFer® SP and Ciba® ChauFer® chelates provided a better response than the leading market brand. |

New expert network in Europe for soil additives and nutrients
Two experts are strengthening our network covering Northern, Western and Southern Europe to further improve the quality, speed and effectiveness of our customer support. Both Luz Ensenat, in Southern Europe, and Bob Greensmith, in Northern & Western Europe, have many years experience in the industry and bring with them a high level of know-how in product and application technology.

Bob has been with the company since 1979 and has spent most of his time in a technical support role. |
Following her studies of Agriculture Engineering, she developed the export department of a Spanish Agriculture company, setting up international subsidiaries. At Ciba Specialty Chemicals, Luz is representing our Agriculture business in the Iberia region. With her strong experience in this field she is a valuable resource for our customers. 
| Primarily involved in the practical application of Ciba products to correct micronutrient deficiencies in crops, he is now regarded as an expert in the field. Bob spent a number of years in a combined marketing and sales role before taking on his current role. In addition to looking after a number of major customers, Bob also leads a small, but focussed, agricultural team in the region.
