The Brazilian experience of Ciba® SoilFix® IR soil conditioner
Brazil's semi arid region is an important production area for mangos and table grapes. With its extremely poor sandy soil and severe climatic conditions, crops need irrigation all year round.
| In 2006 Ciba introduced SoilFix IR soil conditioners to the region to improve the soil water management. We proposed a simple way of applying SoilFix IR without changing the existing irrigation systems. This resulted in remarkable savings of water consumption and energy costs.
