Decorative Foils

The term decorative foils is used to describe applications where complex multi-layer structures of various polymers with different functionalities are laminated or co-extruded into a final end use article. Typical examples include furniture, window and doorframes, shutters and other ornamental profiles. While PVC based films have been traditionally used for applications such as printing layers or plywood coverings, new application developments are focusing on polyolefin or PMMA based decorative foils, which have very specific needs for stabilization and coloration.

Ciba offers tailored solutions for your needs in plastic building materials using innovative colors and additives for decorative foils and in many other end uses such as roofing, architectural glazing, pipes & conduits, siding, flooring, wood replacements, geomembranes, insulation and profiles. If you do not find your application contact us about your specific needs.
