Photocatalytic Systems

Ciba^® TINOLUX^® is a unique photocatalytic system that uses the power of the sun's rays to safely and effectively bleaches stains. Photocatalytic systems absorb light energy and generate reactive oxygen species that act as selective and safe oxidants which remove organic stains. Photocatalysts can also impart a bluish hue to the cellulose fibers they attach to. With this modern, environmentally friendly catalytic system only very low incorporation levels are required to effectively exploit the sun's energy and help keep fabrics looking new longer.
