Prime IT is a yellowish liquid solution (solvent based isopropanol, ethyl acetate; water based solution; currently being tested), which is applied after surface pre-treatment (corona, flame or plasma) in amounts of 1g/m^2.

It can be applied on a standard engraved roll (flexo or gravure) and after carrier removal, the substrate can be immediately printed or stored.  It can also be applied by other methods, such as spraying.  Anchoring the photoinitiator to the surface ensures practically unlimited storage stability and the treated substrate can be stored, shipped, and further processed without any additional surface treatment.
