Low energy marking with C02 laser
The laser beam moves over the applied Ciba® PERGAMARK™ coating like a pen, generating the marking information via color change. This process (referred to as stroke marking) is computer controlled, which allows for flexible labelling options.

Electromagnetic Spectrum
The wavelength of the CO2 laser is located in the far Infrared of the electromagnetic spectrum. The laser initiates a thermal color change reaction at the specific wavelength of 10'600 nm.
