Pigments and pigment preparations for PP carpet and upholstery fiber
| Ciba offers a wide range of powder pigments for use in PP fiber. For an efficient spinning process it is extremely important to obtain the best possible dispersion quality. That is why we supply the most popular pigments as pre filter-tested FPV grades. Before pigments can be used by the fiber spinner, it is necessary to pre-disperse them into a suitable carrier. This results in an intermediate form known as a masterbatch. As an additional service to the industry, we also offer Ciba® FILOFIN® mono-pigment masterbatch preparations. These preparations combine the excellent properties of the basic pigment in an easy to use form with guaranteed dispersion quality and coloristic performance. |
