Regardless of the type of polyester (PES) product you make, whether it is staple fiber, filament yarn or nonwoven, or its application,  from furnishing fabrics for home and automotive use, apparel, carpet pile or any of a multitude of other function or fashion driven uses, Ciba has effect additives and colorants (pigments and polymer soluble colorants) to allow you to tailor-make your product to suit your customers’ needs.

Unless otherwise stated, our effect additives and pigments are supplied in powder form.

Colored pigments and polymer soluble colorants

We also supply pigments that have been pretested for dispersion. These are known as:

• FPV tested pigments - We test a select list of pigments for filter pack life (Filter Pressure Value) according to the CEN method. You may request a Certificate of Analysis for each lot of these pigments, giving the individual FPV result. These pigments take the guesswork out of pigment dispersion and ensure uniformly high quality dispersions both in custom and in mono colors made from them. Ask us for more details.
