Thermal and Processing Stability
In order to guarantee an optimum balance between melt flowability during processing and toughness for the final application, polypropylene has to be stabilized adequately, particularly at high recycling rates. Ciba® IRGANOX® B blends offer good processing and thermal stability in less demanding applications.
Light Stability
For injection molded articles in outdoor applications Ciba® TINUVIN® 783 in combination with Ciba® TINUVIN® 326 are recommended to prevent light-induced polymer degradation.
The Ciba® IRGASTAB® NA range offers nucelating agents, which improve the thermal and mechanical properties of PP as well as the dimensional stability of injection molded articles and enable wall thinning, reduced cycle-time and less scrap. Ciba® IRGASTAT® permanent antistat and Ciba® IRGAGUARD® antimicrobials offer further value to the polyethylene in injection molding applications.
