Stability  

Rigid foams made from poyurethane are predominantly used for insulation purposes. During their end-use they are very often in the dark and cold (e.g., in refrigerators) or covered by other materials as in wall insulation for houses.

The thermal stress for these articles is generally maintained at a moderate level and because in most applications, light cannot penetrate down to the PUR-foam or does so only to a negligible degree, PUR stabilization is usually not required for this application.
