Ciba has launched a product range that has been specifically designed for the dredging industry. The new Ciba® KRYSALIS® range of products clearly enhances solid/liquid separation in dredging applications.
Dredging has become an industry vital to the protection of the world’s waterways and the 21st century is presenting new challenges that have to be dealt with. Ciba has recognized the need of the industry to provide tailor-made and cost effective solutions to growing dredging issues.
The removal of contaminated sediments for environmental reasons continues to grow in importance. Ciba® KRYSALIS® dredging polymers enhance the separation of contaminants from the dredged sediment and hence they are not released back to the environment with the discharge water.
In addition the number and also magnitude of dredging projects is increasing and disposal areas for the dredge sediment are limited.
