The treatment of raw water is critical  to producing potable drinking water and water for use in industrial processes. Processes that benefit include sedimentation, flotation, thickening and dewatering, which clarify treated raw water for subsequent use.

The Ciba® MAGNAFLOC® LT range of organic coagulants and high molecular weight flocculants has been specifically developed for the treatment of drinking water. Used as coagulant aids in treatment of drinking water and waterworks sludge dewatering.

Partial or total replacement of inorganic coagulants. It is fully approved by government environmental protection agencies in the USA and Europe.

Ciba® MAGNASOL® Coagulants are based upon inorganic and blends of inorganic and synthetic organic coagulants. These are used in the precipitation and coagulation processes for raw water.

Computer assisted dose control systems were introduced in response to increasingly complex process technological procedures. Marketed under the well-known trade names Ciba® POLYKON®, for use with chamber filter presses, and Ciba® ALCOTECH® for use with belt filter presses and centrifuges. These dose control systems offer customers the benefits of automated control, optimum chemical consumption and process security, as well as reduced costs.
