Ciba was established in Victoria in 1996, following the spin-off from Ciba-Geigy Australia Limited.

In January 1985, Ciba transferred its location from Preston to Thomastown in Melbourne, where our head office for the South Pacific region is now situated, with 83 staff currently employed.

We have a Plastic Additives blending facility and a regional warehouse, which position us well in the industry in Australia and New Zealand.

The Thomastown Plastic Additives Plant is an ISO 9001 accredited blending and compaction facility that is part of Ciba’s, Asia Pacific, Customer Specific Blend network. We aim to produce high quality pre blended additives for the polymer producing industry. The plant has the capacity to handle a wide range of additives of both nucleating and non nucleating types. The purpose of the Plant is to produce granulated or powder form additives, manufactured to the customers specific requirements for direct dosing of tailor-made polymer blends.
